About the event

16 May:

  • Arrival in Geneva, collection at the airport until 17h, transfer to the hotel near St Maurice Crillat.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the Hôtel restaurant Spa de l'Abbaye (2 hameau de l’Abbaye 39150 GRANDE RIVIERE)

17 May:

  • 7.30 - 9.00 am - Visit the Organic Comté factory in St-Maurice-Crillat (founded in 2021); the tour includes visits to the production and service facilities. We will see the Organic Comte being produced in copper cheese vats and moulded in ⌀ 650mm "bells" (for each head of cheese).
  • 9am - 9.30 am - Tasting session. We will try Organic Comté and Organic butter produced at the factory.
  • 9.30 - 11.00 am - Transfer to Evoli, a producer of hard cheese equipment. We will see different units of cheese equipment in the workshop.
  • 11 am - 1.00 pm - Presentation of Comté production technology and the equipment used.
  • 1 pm - 2 pm - Q&A
  • 2 pm - onwards - Lunch and transfer to Geneva airport

The visit will be in French, translated into English. The price for the visit is £350 +VAT (excluding flights)
